Latest and last content update of our storybook app for kids after 3 years of development!

So, you can now read Dominique Maes’ full storybook for children on the iPad. It is with real pleasure that we saw our small community grow and follow the releases of new illustrations in the book over the past three years.

Thanks to you for your patience and kindness.

Next rendez-vous in October. In real this time! We plan an exhibition of the original illustrations in Brussels. It should be an interactive and dynamic exhibition with possibilities of workshops.

All my Love for you - storybook app for children - space -

Are you ready for a spacewalk?

BleuDeToi-cosmonaute02L’aventure continue !

We have been struggling with one of the biggest illustrations of this book app! The author wanted to give a feeling of unending space but the hatching and crosshatching drawings provided de facto boundaries that we could not easily erase.

So we’ve been brainstorming quite a long time and came up with an idea while watching a “Charlie and Lola” episode.

We’ve been emptying quite a few cartridges of blue ink on some top quality paper for three days, painting and scratching it until we were satisfied with the end result.

And so, now that all the assets have been extracted, we’re just waiting for the iOS developer to keep his promises 😉

Stay Tuned!

“All my Love (for You)” has received a QED Seal, which stands for Quality, Excellence, Design!

All my Love (for You) on the App Store - This title has received a QED seal for quality in eBook design. It can be read easily on screens both large and small.

We’re very happy for our kids app “All my Love (for You)” has just received a QED Seal, which stands for Quality, Excellence, Design, the “Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval™” for ebooks and apps.

The title has successfully met the criteria established by a panel of ebook developers, passing all components of their 13-point test, no less 😉

What a golden year-end!!

Roger! Our small LSO‬ (Landing Signal Officer) is ready for takeoff

Have you updated the app’s latest version 1.6?

We have recently added long-awaited page 14. Our little plane awaits you to fly in the clouds. No need to avoid them here. On contrary.

Oh, and don’t panic if you do loopings. Our developer found it fun to let the little aircraft fly upside down from time to time… Never fight dreams of little boys 😉

Broom broom… can you hear the low sounds of the old diesel engine? Just wait for the green lights and take off for a dreamy journey.

A peaceful journey

AllMyLoveForYou-DominiqueMaes-kids-app-peaceful-journey-luftballoonIn a fragile economic context – in which (kids) apps have to come free or heavily discounted to the consumer – I’m not sure that everyone is aware of the amount of work and creativity required to make an app in general and “All my Love (for You)” in particular…

Ouch, this is an introduction that sounds like the beginning of an opinion piece!

It’s not. Indeed, I would have then chosen a more provocative title… with double entendre – e.g. “When you’re passionate (s), you do not count” – and a more rhetorical style.

But no, no… it’s not the objective of this post. I will allow myself to quote Dominique Maes who has once again found the right words to describe our collaboration: “A peaceful journey.” Because it is indeed a journey into the text, in the form, in the process of creation and communication.

AllMyLoveForYou-DominiqueMaes-kids-app-peaceful-journey-head-in-cloudsThis is an ambitious journey (and maybe a little megalomaniac at time) which requires thoughtful preparations and permanent care. Nothing laborious but a careful work and attention to details that require the ability to challenge  and re-invent oneself. Hundred times on the job, back to work! And forward, always forward because “All my Love (for You)” is an artwork in constant expansion.

And that’s what we did last Sunday between the pear and cheese … we gathered our small team together: Dominique himself, the iOS developer, the little hand working on photoshop (me) as well as mini – and adult – testers …

Dominique discovered then his latest illustrations installed in the application (do not look for them, they are being developed and therefore still hidden). We saw him nod, take notes and rub his hands … And here, we should have been wary of  those tell-tale signs… because, when opening our mailbox this morning, it was a bit like he had not slept a wink since Sunday! Indeed, we’ve just received his notes and new artworks that will further enhance the book app.

So, you should soon be able to discover the new pages of the book. We will keep you informed of the events very quickly…

Indeed, it is a journey that we would like to continue in pleasant company, in your company. This is why we try to let you know of the work-in-progress but also to engage in a dialogue with you through this blog and our Facebook page.

We look forward to hearing from you as well!
